Time of Transition

Dear Saints of Grace,

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 1:3

What a joy it is to be your bridge pastor, to preach, preside and provide pastoral care as you and the Holy Spirit discern who to call to lead you into the future.

As we begin to prepare for the upcoming transition, I can’t help but think what a blessing it has been to be with you in your homes and hospital rooms for conversations and during difficult times. We have shared Holy Communion, talked about the challenges of the moment and the future, and celebrated your memories of family and church from years gone by.

What holy times these are! What a joy to know that God is with us in these moments, that the whole church and all the saints join in our gatherings. If we’ve shared a visit, you know it goes something like this:

The Lord is my shepherd …

On the night in which he was betrayed …

Our Father who art in heaven …

The body of Christ given for you …

Almighty God, you provide the true bread from heaven …

Holy Communion and conversations can be as short or long as feels best to you, and everything you say is held in confidence. If you’ve not taken an opportunity for one of these visits, you and your relatives are invited, no, strongly encouraged, to call or text the pastor if you find yourself in the hospital, or awaiting a difficult medical procedure or result, or facing any challenging situation.

Pastor Robin

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord’s face shine on you with grace and mercy. The Lord look upon you with favor + and give you peace.
